What Erasmus Kit is and what it isn't
Erasmus Kit is a public, free tool for students preparing an Erasmus+ mobility. It started with Spanish universities and now works out the grant from any programme country. It organises information that already exists and puts it in front of you at the moment you have to decide.
What it isn't
Erasmus Kit is an independent website: it does not belong to the Erasmus+ programme, the European Commission or any National Agency, and Erasmus+ is a registered trademark of the European Union. It is not an official tool and does not replace your university. The final word on amounts, deadlines and recognition belongs to your international office and your academic coordinator. Nor does it replace the Online Learning Agreement, the Erasmus+ App or the OLS language platform: it complements them with what they don't cover.
Erasmus Kit doesn't rent out flats, sell insurance, lend money or charge anyone commission.
Sponsorships
Some pages have a sponsored space. It always carries the Sponsored label, is kept separate from the content and is never inside a calculation or the listing checker. It is chosen by the page and by the destination country you pick, not by who you are. We don't accept accommodation, loans, gambling, alcohol, tobacco, cryptocurrencies or services that charge to process the grant. The full rules and the list of sponsors are on the page for companies and projects.
Where the data comes from
Every figure carries its sources, the date they were accessed and its status: Verified if it has been checked in the original document, Not verified if not. When two sources disagree, we show the range and both sources.
When a figure is missing, the planner uses an Assumption: our own rule, explained on the same line, which you can change. For example, if we don't know when a grant is paid, we put it at the end of the stay so that you don't count on money that may arrive late.
The amounts change every academic year and are confirmed late. If you decide in November, only the previous year's amounts exist, and that is how they are shown.
Where it stands
The initial research was done without being able to open the original pages; since 22 October 2026 they have been checked against their original documents, and each source says whether it has been. The full list is in Sources.
Working today: the money planner (from any programme country), the listing checker, the fact sheets for each destination, the directory of Spanish universities with three complete fact sheets and the European comparison, in Spanish, English, Italian and French. Still to come: the personal plan with each faculty's deadlines, the module log, a section for coming home and more languages.
Your privacy
- You don't need an account. There are no cookies or third-party trackers.
- We count visits with our own counter, without cookies and without storing anything on your device. For each page viewed we store the page, the domain of the website you came from, the type of screen (mobile, tablet or computer) and the browser language. We don't store your IP address or your browser: so as not to count you twice on the same day, we use a hash that changes every day and cannot be reversed. From the planner we count only the home and destination countries; from the checker, only that it was used. The counts are deleted after 400 days.
- If you don't want us to count your visits, open this link in your browser. To be counted again, open this other one.
- If you click on a sponsorship, you go through an address of ours that adds one click and takes you to the advertiser's website. The advertiser only receives total views and clicks.
- The money planner stores what you type in your browser's storage, on this device and nowhere else. The ‘Delete my data’ button removes it.
- Sensitive questions (grants, disability, family situation) are answered in your browser and are not sent to any server.
- The listing checker analyses the text in your browser and doesn't store it.
- Like any website, the server keeps a technical access log (IP address, page requested and browser) to fix errors and stop attacks. It is not cross-referenced with the counter or used to profile you.
- Fonts are served from our own server, without requesting anything from Google or anyone else.
Accessibility
Erasmus Kit can be used with a keyboard, respects your system's reduced-motion preference, and uses a typeface designed to be easy to read with low vision. If something doesn't work for you, it's a bug we want to fix.
